Central Texas College (CTC) has been providing higher educational opportunities to area residents for more than 50 years. Since opening its doors to more than 2,000 students in 1967, CTC has evolved into a unique institution focusing on affordable, accessible education. The school’s diverse student population includes more than 8,000 students per year at its Killeen and Fort Hood campuses and more than 20,000 students taking classes at sites across the globe and online. More than 2,200 students worldwide graduated from CTC in 2020.
CTC is the top college choice for graduating high school seniors in the area as more than 20 percent of local high school students come to CTC - the most affordable higher education option for students in central Texas. Local students can save nearly $15,000 in tuition and fees by completing an associate degree with CTC before moving on to a four-year university. CTC’s dual credit programs in partnership with KISD and CCISD enrolls more than 2,600 students.
With more than 100 associate degrees and certificates of completion available in many diverse fields, CTC prepares students for careers or to transfer to a four-year university. Quick training programs, along wtih personal and professional development classes are offered through the CTC Continuing Education department.
